The Tabernacle Prayer
Part 3: The Holy of Holies

We are finally here, the Holy of Holies. This was the very presence of God for the Israelites. Only the High Priest was allowed to enter thus people were unable to come into contact with the presence of God. A heavy veil separated the Holy Place from the Holy of Holies. We know that at the moment of Jesus’ death, the veil was rent in two and was never able to be repaired. God ended the divide between Himself and His people. Now, we can boldly enter before the Throne of Grace.
The Veil: Matthew 27:5, John 14:6
The veil was supported by 4 pillars. I name each of these pillars Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. When I get to this position, I pray the gospel of Jesus Christ. I begin to declare who He is and claim every miracle He preformed.
Jesus, I thank you for your life here on earth. You are the Word made flesh. You are the doorway to the Father. I claim access to the authority of Your Name. I believe that You said I would do greater works than these. If you commanded disease to be healed, so can I. If you commanded the dead to raise, so can I. Through You, I have the authority of Heaven. Since You are the Word made flesh, I stand on every promise in Your Holy book. If the Word tells me it is mine, I claim it. If the Word tells me it is for my benefit, I believe it. The promise of Salvation is for me, and my children, and their children.
The Ark of The Covenant:
The Ark of the Covenant was more than just a representation of God’s presence. God’s Spirit would literally come down and rest on the Mercy Seat that resided between the cherubim on top of the Ark. Inside the Ark was the Ten Commandments, a pot of manna, and Aaron’s rod that budded. The Ark represents authority in the Tabernacle Prayer. The Ten Commandments represent the legal authority we have as believers to possess the land. The pot of manna represents the physical authority to claim healing and provision. Aaron’s rod represents spiritual authority and dominion to take command in spiritual warfare. Once we reach this place in prayer, we are no longer asking or pleading with God. We have stepped into the realm of authority to begin to declare things into the atmosphere, to command demons to flee and cancer to die. This is warfare prayer and this prayer shakes the foundations of Heaven and Hell. This prayer sets captives free.
When I get to this position in prayer, I bring out a list of things I’ve been tasked to pray over. It could be for the nation, the church, my family, myself. I would encourage you to make a list of things that you need from God. I would begin here. It is important to pray in the spirit using your Heavenly prayer language. The Spirit makes intercession on our behalf for things we do not know we should pray.
In conclusion, adopting the Tabernacle Prayer into your prayer life will radically change your walk with God. You will begin to find His presence easier and easier as He beckons you to His presence. If we can get a hold of this type of prayer church wide, this entire world would change. It is my prayer that you have been touched and blessed by this series. Next week’s topic is “The Preacher and The Minstrel”. This is a powerful look into the necessity of singing the Gospel message during worship. Thank you for subscribing.
